A poem...

But not in Spanish... just one that I wrote and wanted feedback on (be kind but honest, Im scared to share my writing!) No title yet....

In the silence sitting between us
There is something learned
Will it, broken by your laughing smile
Forgive me, you forgive
I do not dare forget
Else I forget the memory
Of a dream in which we both dreamed
Of a little girl standing in the waves
Dark eyes and a white dress
Waiting
In the waiting, the arriving, the leaving
There is something taught
Will it, my secret shown in my eyes
Forgive me, forgive me
I do not dare forget
Else I forget the memory
Of a look in which we both saw
Worlds that could not be spoken
Dark eyes washed in blue
Waiting
Always there has been waiting
Always learning
Forgive me, for I’ve finally learned
Forget me, I dare not forget you
Else I forget what I learned while
Waiting

Hey, I'm a student in upstate NY and I'm here doing some homework for my spanish blog on Gabriela Mistral's "Todas íbamos a ser reinas" and I found your interpretation. Anyway, I'd like to say that your writing is amazing. I love to write poetry and spoken word, but to read someone else's work and tear up is such a wonderful feeling. You don't know me and I don't know you--hope it's not creepy, I just had to say something. Thanks for expressing your feelings. Thanks for posting them. :D
