How we grew
The others shadow and skin
The others love of all loves
Always, only knew the need of you, there by my side
Always knew life was changes and you'd be there by my side
Didn't realize what a whole we were

How we've grown
Matching pillars and cracks
Matching in each others love
Always, only felt the weight of you there in my life
Always saw life changing and our love transcending lines
Didn't realize what a hole you'd leave

How little, how much

In the silence sitting between us
There is something learned
Will it, broken by your laughing smile

Else I forget the memory
Of a dream in which we both dreamed
Of a little girl standing in the waves
Dark eyes and a white dress
Waiting
In the waiting, the arriving, the leaving
There is something taught
Will it, my secret shown in my eyes

Of a look in which we both saw
Worlds that could not be spoken
Dark eyes washed in blue

Always there has been waiting
Always learning
